1. a balance beam, a target number. two players take turns placing words on opposite sides of a beam.
2. words have weight. each word's weight equals its syllable count. "cat" = 1, "ocean" = 2, "beautiful" = 3.
3. reach the target. get as close to the target number as you can — without going over.
4. the beam tilts. you can't see their words — only the beam tilt tells you how they're doing.
5. stand or bust. lock your total anytime by standing. go over the target and you bust.
6. the reveal. both word lists appear on the beam. shared words glow. that's the moment.
7. exact hit = jackpot (100). closest without busting = 75. both bust, closer = 25.
